Today was just great, I went to the grocery store earlier, the sun was shining, it was warm, and felt like it was a warm spring day. Unfortunately as soon as the sun goes down, it becomes really cold again and that makes it so hard to be dressed right. I was wearing no jacket earlier, but brought my winter jacket to the library because I know when I leave here it will be cold. I am so happy about how short winter is here though, it does improve my mood so much!

Yesterday I had my last final. It went well, I think. It was an essay question and you never know with those, did you answer the question extensively enough, did you think of everything, and not divert from the topic too much, so I hope I did all that and will get a good grade. I did feel like I had some good ideas, you know those moments when you have a little idea that seems somewhat good and all of a sudden it dawns on you and you see all of these connections? So I had this idea that seemed fabulous to me, now let’s just hope the professor finds it fabulous too, and not too far-fetched. By the way I already got the grade for one of my finals, I got an 8.5 (out of 10) on my first English final, which I am content with. That is also my over-all grade in that course, 8.5, [Notable (NT)].

After the final last night I went to the movies to see The Oxford Murders. It was a really good movie, I kind of like mathematical puzzles, and found it really enjoyable how Elijah Wood’s character put it all together, only to realize that things are not the way they seemed after all! Also one of those movies where you realize being German [or speaking German] can be quite a useful thing sometimes! There was a scene where Scrabble letters showed a German word, which is a clue in how the whole mystery gets resolved [though I didn't even realize just how important it was, I was just thinking, oh neat!].

The theater experience besides the movie was also quite interesting. First of, I was seated between two smooching couples with the seat next to me left empty. Is the universe trying to tell me something? Thanks, I am already quite aware of my singledom! Another thing was the girl next to me was pointing out all the places in Oxford in the movie to her boyfriend, like “and if you take a left there you get to XY” which was a little annoying to say the least. Made me thankful for any scenes that took place inside a building. I mean it’s great and all that you have been to Oxfordbut can you just shut up now, because I’d like to enjoy the movie without someone constantly babbling next to me?! [By the way, I have been to Oxford, too! Though admittedly it has been a little too long - 8.5 years - for me to recognize any places - weird seeing as I did recognize a lot of places in Dublin in Once which I saw a few weeks ago - the soundtrack of which will be waiting for me in Munich when I get there, in fact it already is. I guess I just found Dublin more memorable?! Errrr, yeah way to go off on a tangent ...]

Well, this weekend I am going to be busy working on my take-home final that is due on Tuesday. I started earlier today, and I think I will not have any problems finishing it in time.

Then Wednesday I am off to Munich for a week, and I really hope Acer will have my Acerette fixed in time. The repair status online says “Is currently being fixed” but it has been saying that for over a week now. They got the laptop on the 8th, and they had told me it would take about five business days, but it has been nine already! I am not sure what I will do if they do not fix it in time [they do still have about a week to get it done], because that is not an option I had considered before. Three weeks seemed like plenty of time to fix something that takes five business days, sometimes a couple days longer.
